I have followed this tutorial (link at bottom of URL) and I can see the desktop icon. The article says it doesn't work with Vista OS. Should I can this all together and settle with the start menus only? The P&D is great for making my program work but it doesn't have the simple "add desktop icon" the newer packaging software has, like INNO setup.

Hey dilettante, I responded to a post of yours regarding the use of the Task Scheduler 2.0 API from VB6. I am trying to figure out how to late bind to it, so that I can use it only when needed on Vista + systems. The problem with early binding is that it requires the DLL to be there and makes the project incompatible with XP based systems. I REALLY appreciate that you took time to do this project as it is the ONLY example I could find on the web. Thanks a ton.

You shouldn't identifiy yourself as a non-vb programmer. Don't give up! You can learn. We can teach you. Just cause you can't figure some things out doesn't make you a non-vb programmer. I've been programming with VB for 16 years, other members have been for more. Don't despair!! Don't give up!! And NEVER label yourself as a non-vb programmer just because you are lost. Giving up makes you a non-vb programmer, but if you keep trying you can become a vb programmer!!
